- Any travel related fees (hotels, gas, etc)
What is the time commitment for games and/or tournaments?
KMYSA traveling teams participate in league play. This means five home games and five away games. Away games generally are no more than 2hrs travel (one way). The Rochesterfest tournament generally consists of at least three games spread out over three days of play. Any tournament outside of the Rochesterfest tournament would have its own specific schedule and will likely be located in the Twin Cities area. League games can be scheduled any day of the week. KMYSA attempts to schedule around school sports/events but can make no guarantee.
When/where are practices held?
- 15U to 18U – 4 times a week. Times tentatively 645-8p – KM High School
- 13U to 14U – 3 times a week. Times tentatively 530-645p – KM High School
- 9U to 12U – 2 times a week. Times tentatively 530-645p – KM High School/Middle School
How do you form teams?
The starting point for team formation is birth year based on MYSA guidelines (see chart below). Team roster size varies per age group (see chart below). Registrations will be based on registration date i.e. the first to register will be placed first. KMYSA makes every attempt to place each child on the most appropriate team. KMYSA also attempts to notify each parent as soon as it becomes apparent that no team is available for that age group so they still have time to register with another organization. KMYSA will not consider buddy-requests as those requests become too hard to manage.
